The homeowners are hurting due to the economy and increasing taxes. Resources are more limited, now, and the CCSD should do its part, in my opinion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994679863347954941.post-16591633427006616402010-06-27T10:54:14.346-04:002010-06-27T10:54:14.346-04:00Don't you think the complimentary close with t...Don't you think the complimentary close with the word "respectfully" is inappropriate since these arrogant, elitist, corrupt, ignorant, foolish, decadent, insolent, cocky, politically correct, deceptive, ...non representatives, usually "elected" by a tiny minority of registered voters who happen to show up at the polls, unless they are unopposed whereby they are automaticallly "elected" by the corrupt voting law of Georgia deserve no respect and certainly demonstrate none to you? All they care about is forcing the haves to pay the education costs of the have nots and they have the upper hand, since if a property owner refuses to pay, they simply confiscate their property often without any due process of law too.
Mr. Garland, you know and I know the lowly citizens and taxpayers have been totally betrayed and sold out by our lawmakers who make it an almost impossible feat to overcome the power of government to take our money and wealth. We are left to fend for ourselves since no public official like the Attorney General of Georgia or the U.S. Attorney would place our lowly interests above the interests of the larger group would they and use public resources to challenge the corrupt practices of one of the rougly 159 inefficient and ineffective school boards of this corrupt state would they? Let's face it, Mr. Garland, we have lost.
The citizen and taxpayer has lost. And until some honest and responsible and courageous politicians come along with the stomach to provide us some practical laws to challenge incompetence and corruption, nothing will change in the Robin Hood Communist cesspool of Georgia, Athens Clarke County or any of the roughly 159 others for that matter.
I have a friend who pays about $100K in property tax in Athens Clarke County. I am sure you know who he is. He doesn't even live here but is forced to provide the costs of about 6 children in public schools whom he did not foster and his own family grew up years ago. Steal from the haves to pay the costs of the have nots; this is the story of Robin Hood and this is the tyranny of the law in AThens Clarke County and most of the others as well. Do not celebrate those former lawmakers who passed these outrageous and unfair laws, virtually impossible to challenge unless you are willing to put up about $100K of your own money to hire possibly corrupt lawyers to argue a very corrupt legal system all stacked in favor of the corrupt system here.Winfield J.
